Until I was 13 years old I lived in Kazakhstan, a country where people were raised rather conservatively. Tattoos were a taboo subject, because not everyone was allowed to wear them. Each tattoo had a meaning and therefore had to be answered for by the person wearing it. So until then, this term was a foreign word to me.
In 2000, I moved with my family to Germany, to a city that is located at the very top of the north. Flensburg became my new home.
Since I come from a family of hobby artists, I started painting and drawing very early. I was particularly fascinated by drawing pictures. Probably because I had a direct comparison between the original and the drawn.
My first touches with the subject of tattoos came at a time when tribals were in vogue among young people. Since most of my friends knew I was good at painting and drawing, they wanted me to paint tribal tattoos on them.
Sometime during my college years, I tried real tattooing and it fascinated me so much that I made it my hobby. After graduation, I was faced with a tough decision on what to do for a living. Do I choose what I studied for years or do I take a step into the unknown and pursue my passion? I decided to go with my passion. In 2018, I then moved to Hamburg to further develop myself and catch up with new impulses. These steps I have not regretted a single day until today!
Tattooing is for me like to draw or paint. Only when tattooing not only I am happy about the final result, but in addition I see the joy and gratitude of the customers.
After such working days I always go home in a good mood, no matter how many hours I had worked.
My focus has been on photorealism. Currently in Black and Grey and Greywash style, but color realism also fascinates me a lot, which I would like to deepen more in the future.
