JOSHUA CARLTON

Joshua Carlton has been tattooing for nearly 30 years. His art is rooted in his love of photography which began as a teenager with the works of Robert Maplethorpe and Ansel Adams. Having a deep love for classical art, Joshua’s style flows freely between the strong contrast black and grey inspired by the beautiful chiaroscuro of Caravaggio and the thick brush-stroke contemporary color-realism inspired by artists such as Sargent. With World Famous pigments, Joshua is covered whether he is reaching for those thick- luscious colors, the opaque true-greys, or the classic grey wash sets.
